Discover wauhatchie forest school

Prospective Forest School families are invited to join us to learn more about happens in the Wauhatchie Forest.

What is a discovery day?

In simple terms, it's an open house - just without doors, windows, or walls! Discovery Days take place 100% outdoors, just like most of our learning. These visits are your chance to learn about forest school philosophy, play-based preschool, the Wauhatchie Way, and how we balance nature-immersion with academic rigor for our elementary students. If you've heard of Forest School and are interested, but not quite ready to make the jump before you've asked "What do the students do when it rains?" - then this event is perfect for you!

You will hear from staff and teachers about what makes forest school unique and all the magic that happens when learning and development is not constricted by four walls and fluorescent lights. We encourage families to tour our beautiful site and have questions answered by our amazing staff or teachers and administrators. Dress for the weather and we will see you in the forest!
