2026-27 Applications now open

Enrollment Process

1. Join us for a tour or Discovery Day to meet staff and learn more about our programs.

2. Explore our website and read our parent handbook to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of our forest school approach to education. For preschool enrollment, students must be toilet proficient and at least 3 years old by their first day of school. For other age requirements, check the program page of our website.

3. Submit an online application and pay the $25 application fee.

4. Applications will be reviewed within two weeks. If space is not available in the applied-for program, students are placed on a waiting list.

5. Once admitted, complete the enrollment form and upload all required documents and information.

6. Sign your billing agreement and pay the non-refundable tuition deposits by May 1 ($300 for half day and Jr. Kindergarten programs; $1000 for full day elementary programs).

7. Make first tuition payment by the July 1 deadline.

8. Review and sign the Parent & Student Handbook, Parent Waiver, and Family Agreement prior to the beginning of school.

9. Save important dates from the Wauhatchie Academic Calendar.

Waitlisted applications for the current school do not carry over to the 2026-27 application. Families must re-apply if they are not admitted before the end of the current school year.

Discovery days

Prospective Forest School families are invited to join us to take a peek at what happens inside the Wauhatchie Forest. Our next Discovery Days will take place on Saturday, January 24 at Reflection Riding and Saturday, February 7 at Audubon Acres and Soddy Daisy.
